PESARO

Pesaro is an Italian municipality, capital of the province of the same name in the Marche region, overlooking the Adriatic Sea between the hills of San Bartolo and Ardizio. It is known as a city of art with a rich historical, cultural and seaside heritage, combining Renaissance and modern elements, such as the Doge's Palace and the gardens of Piazzale della Libertà with Arnaldo Pomodoro's Sfera Grande. The city is the birthplace of the composer Gioachino Rossini, also famous for its tradition in ceramics and for being a center of cycling culture.

• Doge's Palace: An imposing example of Renaissance architecture, now the seat of the prefecture.
• Cathedral of San Terenzio: A medieval building that houses the relics of the patron saint San Terenzio, with an interesting mosaic heritage.
• Teatro Rossini: One of the most important stages in the world for opera, it hosts a famous opera festival every year.
• Piazza del Popolo: The main square of the city, with a fountain in the center and surrounded by historic buildings.
• Monte San Bartolo Natural Park: A protected area that offers paths and scenic paths along the coast, which can also be reached by bicycle.
• Gardens and parks: The city boasts several green spaces, such as the Miralfiore Park and the Orti Giuli, the first public green spaces in Italy, born in neoclassical style.
• Rossini's House: The composer's birthplace, now a museum dedicated to his life and works.
• Civic Museums of Palazzo Mosca: A museum that includes the Sonosphere, an art installation dedicated to listening to soundscapes.
