VILLA IMPERIALE
Villa Imperiale is an ancient stately home located in Pesaro, in the Marche region, considered one of the most important examples of Renaissance architecture. It consists of two distinct buildings, the fifteenth-century Sforza wing and the sixteenth-century Della Rovere wing, and is famous for its gardens, mannerist frescoes and scenic position on Monte San Bartolo. Originally built as a castle by the Sforza, it was transformed into a villa of delight by the architect Gerolamo Genga at the behest of the Della Rovere dukes.
